Include a link to your shit and don't be a fag, you fucking faggot. Eat a dick. Lick on these testicles. I wanna anally inseminate Miles Ellerbeck (this will probably be here a year or two before he sees it...Love you bro). Also open yourself up to constructive criticism. I'll bluntly tell you it sucks and give the world a link to see just how bad it sucks. I am mimicking the stream of conscious asshole blogger speech now. Fuck you and eat several more dicks.

Zyklome A-Noise And Distortion

Zyklome A were a hardcore punk band from Belgium that existed in the early 80s to about the mid-late 80s...I'm not really sure. "Noise And Distortion" came out in 1997 and basically serves as their complete discography, spanning their "Made In Belgium" LP, EP's , compilation release and live sets. "We All Hate Cops", and "I Hate This World, But I Love My Life" are just two examples of the hardcore greats you'll find here...I'll give you 38 reasons to love this band (See accompanying track list). Give them a listen. Enjoy!

G.G. Elvis And The T.C.P. Band-Back From The Dead

G.G. Elvis And The T.C.P. Band play Elvis covers in the same vein as Me First And The Gimme Gimmes play their covers. They take Elvis lyrics and retrofit them to the music of classic punk songs. I enjoyed it profusely. The band is a Nardcore super-group of sorts as past and present members of Agression, Stäläg 13, Ill Repute, Bad Samaritans, and NOFX encompass membership. Check it out. Enjoy!

Rancid-Rancid (2000)

We all know Rancid as that band that ripped off the Clash more so than any other band to ever exist, as that band that ruined "Somebody's Gonna Die" by Blitz and as that band with Jerry's kids' alumnus Timmy on vocals. Rancid, at the point before this album had been released were at their peak of Clash wannabe-ism. "Rancid (2000)" strips away most of the Clash, the ska, the shit, the crap and the bullshit for what is a damn fine piece of hardcore punk. Their first two albums were nowhere near as good, or even as fast. They hadn't given Matt Freeman a turn at lead vocals since "Lets Go" and here they finally passed the mic stand over to the bass extraordinaire for 3 songs. Of the singers of Rancid, I've always thought Matt was underutilized. He has a deep, gritty bellow similar to Barry White if Barry White smoked 3 packs a day. This is the best Rancid had to offer, so enjoy it!

Rancid-Rancid (2000):

1. Don Giovanni
2. Disgruntled
3. It's Quite Alright
4. Let Me Go
5. I Am Forever
6. Poison
7. Loki
8. Blackhawk Down
9. Rwanda

Oxymoron-Best Before 2000

Oxymoron (from Germany) plays the modern form of street punk, but are one of the closest to the original UK Oi!/street punk genre of the late 70s and early 80s...Listen and you'll know what I mean...Street punk as it is today has become a very broad classification in the sense in encompasses everything from British sounding oi punk to American influenced Hardcore punk that happens to say "oi" a lot. The only unifying thing seems to be the "uniform". Fuck, I tend to fall off subject from time to time, but I'll get back to the point...The point is that Oxymoron kicks ass. They also do one of the most respectful Blitz covers I've heard. They didn't bastardize it like Rancid did with "Somebody's Gonna Die", but kept their version of "New Age" original, albeit with better recording quality. Enjoy!

Oxymoron-Best Before 2000:

1. Dead End Generation
2. Black Cats
3. Bondage
4. Beware, Poisonous
5. Another Day, Another Mess
6. Anti
7. Idols Are Out

The Casualties-For The Punx + Die Hards

The Casualties are an easy band to love. They are equally as easy to hate as well. I've done my fair share of Casual-ties bashing, but what it really comes down to is that I hate their fans, not their music. I may be a "fan", but I am not the quintessential Casualties fan. I fucking hate the Pun(X). The Casualties play simple street punk reminiscent of British UK82, but possibly dumber in lyrical content, but again maybe not as dumb as Wattie and his crew of mischievous butt pirates.

The Casualties do get a lot of shit, some of which I feel is misguided. There are people I know who'll bash The Casualties and then go pop in some Unseen, Virus or A Global Threat record. A little hypocritical, but then again, personal taste conquers in all listening situations. Anyways, here are two Casualties albums I really enjoy, "For The Punx" and "Die Hards". Enjoy!

The Casualties-For The Punx:

1. For The Punx
2. Ugly Bastards
3. City Life

Suicidal Tendencies

Here's two old videos of Suicidal Tendencies before they started dressing like Cholos who played metal. The songs are pretty fucking good though. They sound nothing like "Suicidal Tendencies" here...It's pretty fucking funny seeing Mike Muir with bleach blond hair, no bandanna, generally looking like a clean-cut, white-bred surf punk. Enjoy!

Bloodhound Gang-Hooray For Boobies

I got this CD when it first came out...The Wal-Mart version that is...Then for a while I had one of those Columbia House Music Club things and I got the version with the Tipper Sticker. What a difference that sticker makes. The Bloodhound Gang supplemented my juvenile lust for all things naughty...Since my balls hadn't dropped yet, masturbating to it was out of the question. This album represents those moments in middle school when saying "fuck", "shit", "piss", "cunt", "ass", "poo", "sex", "dick", etc. was still daring and not part of your every day (or every 5-second) vocabulary. Two thing become evident after listening to this record and those are: it's hard to rhyme a word like vagina and that there is absolutely no redeeming moral fiber to be found here, just elementary indulgence. In other words, it's the only waste of time that I would prescribe. Enjoy!

1. I Hope You Die

David Peel & The Lower East Side-Have A Marijuana

Proto-punk is defined as the precursor to punk, basically what shared musical traits in line with punk before punk was punk. By that definition, David Peel & The Lower East Side isn't proto-punk. If you expand it to include bands that had a similar attitude, they could be lumped in there. The Hippie movement and the Punk movement, as different as they were, did have a lot of parallels...And you'll hear those parallels on this record...To be honest, David Peel & The Lower East Side were like a bunch of stoned hippies around a campfire singing about police brutality and weed...But I like it. Give it a chance, Enjoy!

Samhain-Initium

Samhain is Glenn Danzig's second band and is a bridge of sorts from the Misfits to the band called Danzig. This album abandons the B-movie cliche's in favor of the most literal of evil. Sound-wise, we have a record slower than Earth AD, but still heavier than anything Danzig did before. It's still predominately a hardcore punk/horror punk album, as the transition to total metal hadn't been made yet. If anything, this album (and the band, Samhain) served as the proving grounds for what was to come. My favorite track has got to be "Archangel", an evil sing-along Satanic chant...If you get stoned listening to it, you hear Satan growling at you...It freaked me the fuck out a few years ago and I'm still scarred. This album made me believe that there was evil in this world and that evil happened to be a 4 foot elf named Glenn. Enjoy!

All Or Nothing H.C.-Search For The Strength

All Or Nothing H.C. is a pretty decent female fronted hardcore band. I saw them quite a few times a few years back at the now closed Showcase Theatre in Corona. Steve-O-The Dumbest Asshole In Hip-Hop

The title doesn't lie. Steve-O, notable for hurting himself on MTV's Jackass, is the dumbest asshole in hip-hop and that's a mantle well deserved. This album is good for a quick laugh or two and then to never listen to it again. It really sucks ass. Steve-O isn't even someone I could see as ever possessing the skills necessary to be a decent rapper. His voice is horrible and his rhymes are elementary at best. This record is billed as being "comedy gangsta-rap"..."Gangsta-rap" and "Steve-O" should never be uttered in the same sentence. I have a hard enough time with "comedy" sharing a sequence of words with "Steve-O". It gets old quick...Fuck it, I found something enjoyable in it, maybe you will to...Enjoy!

Septic Death-Now That I Have The Attention, What Do I Do With It?

Septic Death (from Boise, Idaho) was Pushead's band. Pushead is most notable for his artwork, which graced releases by Metallica, The Misfits, among others. The band itself is one of the more extreme bands to come from the early hardcore scene and they were both influential and instrumental in the development of thrashcore, powerviolence, crust and grindcore. I could probably best compare them to the Misfits' "Earth AD" album, as in "fast hardcore with a very dark aesthetic", but then again, there were so few bands from that era that really came close to what Septic Death sounded like, that any comparison is ultimately unfair to their sound...They were unique for their time. NOFX-Maximum Rock 'N' Roll

Before Fat Mike became the elitist swine he is today, he fronted one of the greatest hardcore punk bands of the mid to late 80s...We all know what became of NOFX after "S&M Airlines", as they rode the wave of crappy pop-punk and ska that was popular back then. I may be elitist swine myself, but at least I'm not like Officer Mike Burkett, enforcing punk law on everyone, telling them that "they're wrong". Fuck him. GG Allin had a varied musical output...Everything from Ramones-y sounding punk/pop to hardcore punk and country, his various backing bands and himself performed in many different styles. This is "Carnival Of Excess", an album of tuneful outlaw country classics in the vein of Hank Williams, with obviously more explicit lyrical content. It has everything you've come to expect from GG, which is misogynistic, sexist, and violent songs about rape, murder and social alienation...This time with an acoustic guitar. I love this shit! Enjoy!

Judas Priest-British Steel

Here's some classic metal to rock your socks off or suck your cocks off...Like Rob Halford, metal's favorite gay joke...But I really don't care if he's gay, I don't care if anyone's gay. To each his own...Think about the statement, "To Each His Own"...Sounds kinda gay, doesn't it? Judas Priest is one of my favorite bands, even though they are led by a leather-clad, stud wearing, flaming homosexual...Wait? That sounds like me and all those silly punkers. Fuck, I'm gay and I didn't even know it. I'll stop with the offensive, seemingly anti-homosexual rant. Everyone is a little gay inside...That's gay. You're gay. Faggot. Judas Priest. I know that it's not funny, so I'll stop trying to be...I had a friend who hated "gays", and he liked Judas Priest...Seriously, what the fuck? Enjoy!

Bad Brains-I Against I

I'd recommend this album based solely off the strength of the title track, but that's not to say the whole album isn't good...If not great. On this release, (the) Bad Brains successfully channeled that hardcore rage that made their first couple of releases classic into a more cohesive package that makes this album a landmark in both hardcore punk and metal...With no reggae detours, it keeps the energy flowing through it's entire run...All the tracks can be appreciated on one level or another. My only real criticism falls on the song "Sacred Love", but it's hard calling it a bad song. Maybe it's the way H.R. recorded his vocals over the phone in jail that turns me off. All in all, this recording is wrapped in an very MTV friendly package. It's not blisteringly fast, and the production value is quite high, so it's not hard to imagine this being played on MTV (which is was) or on the radio (which it was and is, from time to time, mostly late at night). (the) Bad Brains certainly deserve to be on that VH1 list, maybe a lot fucking higher though. Enjoy!

Bad Brains-I Against I:

1. Intro
2. I Against I
3. House Of Suffering
4. Re-Ignition
5. Secret 77
6. Let Me Help
7. She's Calling You
